I bought the Dior star foundation and just didn’t understand the hype. My oily skin did not like it at all. It felt greasy and looked weird, and unfortunately for us in the UK, we can’t take things back for a refund unless they are faulty. When I mentioned to a Dior lady that I hadn’t liked it, she confessed that she didn’t either, and said the diorskin forever was the one for me. I didn’t buy it at that point as she gave me a sample albeit a tiny few drops that were left in the bottle.
When I did go to try it out, there wasn’t really enough for me to use, but from the little I did try it reminded me of the YSL fusion ink but a tad bit thicker. A nice thin liquid, but with really great coverage. I was pretty much sold from that point and knew I would buy it at some point, and the colours are so pretty – very neutral with no crazy orange or overly pinky tones. I’m quite proud of how long I waited to actually buy it, but with the disappointment of not getting on with either the Too Faced born this way or the Nars all day luminous, I made up my mind to buy it at the airport in London. That was nearly 2 weeks ago and I’ve worn it every single day since!
I LOVE this foundation, as much as I love my YSL fusion ink, and as much as I love my Lancome teint idole ultra. In fact I’d say it’s they are the mummy and daddy and had a baby lol. It feels beautiful on the skin, not heavy or cakey, not too thick but with plenty of coverage, not greasy but still moisturising, matte but not flat. I honestly can’t find anything bad to say about it and that’s not like me!
Its £32.50 so not cheap, but I love it so much I’ve bought a second bottle in a lighter colour so I can use it self tanned or not. The most amazing thing for me is how long it lasted – ages and ages! All day from 6am to 7pm when I took it off, it honestly looked hardly any different at 7pm. Normally my foundation will have disappeared completely from my chin, nose and forehead. Not this one, forever is a great name for it.
Ok, so I love it, you get the message, and I know a few of you over on you tube have told me you love it too. Not sure about my dry skin girls, but if you are normal or oily/combo, I highly recommend it.
