If you watch me on You Tube, you’ll know I’ve been a little bit obsessed with getting some volume in my hair, to the point even where I’ve had it all chopped off lol. 8 inches I had cut off! Anyhoo, which of us ladies isn’t looking for voluminous hair right? So, when I saw this innovative product, I knew I had to give it a go.
There are 2 unique things about this product –A. it is an “in-shower” treatment, that is to say that it rinses out and B. It is said to last through 2-3 washes. I wanted to make sure I got the most trusted result possible, so I used the shampoo & conditioner from the same range, and used no other volumising products after my first wash. I recorded the video review this morning and as I said in that, there is a definite increase in Ooomph, but nothing dramatic.
Still, for me having lots of thick heavy hair, that’s a pretty good achievement and to be honest I had expected that either I’d have some volume but also some stickiness, or I’d have nothing. This didn’t leave any sticky feeling at all, in fact I wouldn’t have known I’d used any other product but my hair just felt a little bit more bouncy.
The way you use this is just like putting on an extra conditioner but you use it only at the roots and mid lengths, then leave it for 3-5 minutes. I rinsed out my conditioner and towel dried my hair, then left the product on for 5 minutes. The next time I washed my hair, I did use volumising products (the Queen for a day by Tigi) but the 3rdand final hair wash I didn’t use anything and that takes me to today where I can still feel a little something extra at my roots. I did use either my babyliss big hair to blow dry at the end or my Velcro rollers with some hairspray.
So, I don’t have anything negative to say about this, which isn’t really like me! I’ve got a feeling that if you have fine or thin hair, you’ll get an even better result than I did – do let me know :0) I got this on the 3 for 2 deal in Boots on haircare, but the product on its own is £9.99 and will last you about 8 weeks depending on how often you wash your hair (you leave 2 to 3 washes between treatments).
