I don’t often get to browse superdrug but when I do, I almost always find something new and interesting, and on my last visit it was a whole new brand – Lottie London which is believe is currently exclusive to Superdrug.
Let me first say, so as to provide a balanced review, that I bought the beauty sponge and didn’t enjoy it – it wasn’t terrible by any means, but as I have only ever used the beauty blender, that was my only frame of reference.
They had a 3 for 2 when I was buying, so I bought a nail polish and a bronzer brush.
The nail polishes are amazing, and if you love a fancy glittery nail polish or like doing accent nails, go check it out. The bottle is lovely and you could mistake the array of polishes for a nails inc stand with the different finishes. I settled on a plain colour though called “Guru” which is a kind of burgundy. I loved the brush and it applied really well – nice and evenly, and if I’d loaded the brush more I could have used just one coat. I used it with the new Barry M sunlight curing top coat, and it lasted about 5 days with only tip wear. Very impressed. I’m not going to rush out and buy more, simply because I’m more of a gel nail girl, or at least a Sally Hansen gel or CND Vinylux type polish. I do also have quite an array of “normal” polishes that I rarely use.
The great thing about the brushes, is that there are sample brushes on display that you touch and feel which makes it way more likely that I will buy a brush as especially with drugstore brushes, I would assume they would not be soft enough for my liking. They are pretty darn soft though! They are also quite dense, so I chose the tapered bronze brush and have really been enjoying it. I did have to wash it immediately to get rid of the plastic type smell but it washed and dried well and I’ve used not much else for bronzer since buying this and would highly recommend you check them out.
Have you tried anything from the Lottie London range? Do you plan on it?
