I’ve been on a diet since my early twenties and what seems to happen is within a few years I lose a stone or two then put it right back on! Right now I’m 12 stone and feeling rather too curvy for my liking. If I was like my lovely curvaceous Size 18 friend who had a flat tummy I wouldn’t mind so much, but that’s where all my weight goes. So, its time for a change. Again.
I wish I knew what it is that suddenly causes the change of mentality – I’ve wanted to start being healthy again for a while but just haven’t felt like putting in the required work. Its amazing how hard it is to NOT do something, i.e. eat too much lol. It takes planning for me – planning a day of meals and snacks that will leave me somewhat satisfied. The only thing that has worked for me is using my fitness pal – I can’t follow any diets, its just not my way, but this allows you to plug in everything you have eaten and it will tell you the calories you have consumed along with protein and fat etc. Its very interesting to see and somehow just looking at it all written down like that makes you want to beat the numbers. I start doing my diet maths like, “If I walk for half an hour, I can have a Bacardi” :0)
Wow, what a ramble about weight huh. So I chatted to you guys on Saturday and the rest of the weekend was just lovely and filled with puppy adventures. Not much else to tell really. Oh, except that I have got a kindle book on Amazon, woohoo – its a recipe book for healthy meal ideas. You can buy it here for £2.63, bargain. Just saying ;0) Healthy Meal Ideas
