I showed this leg makeup in a recent haul, and the reason I bought it was because it was £4 cheaper at the time than the Sally Hansen one (The Sally Hansen one is currently on offer for £10.99).
I have used the Sally Hansen spray many times and love it, and I was curious about trying the cream version. I had been tempted several times to buy the cream version of the Sally Hansen spray, but £13.99 put me off being as I already have the spray.
I was about to break down and purchase it when I saw this for £9.99 and I left Boots a happy bunny as I could try something new (always a bonus with a beauty junkie) and I could review it for my new at the drugstore video. Winner.
My first thoughts on application were that it was a bit orange, but then so is the Sally Hansen one. Somehow, they both manage to look good when properly rubbed in, I guess because they are more of a foundation for legs over a bronzing product.
As far as the colour goes, there is not much between, and the same goes with how long they last – both are pretty good at not rubbing off on clothes, and basically not coming off till washed off with soap & water.
The main difference, and why I won’t be using this again is patchiness. The Sally Hansen one goes on smooth, and I’m pretty confident that no-one would know that I had anything on my legs. It doesn’t cover my tattoo (although it does make it look grey instead of black) but it does cover the small thread veins I have. Alas, this is not a review of the Sally Hansen one, as the L’Oreal one looks like its going on smoothly when applied, but in the light it looks patchy and messy. I tried fixing it with additional product, I washed it off and tried a second time, but it just doesn’t give the flawless finish I was hoping for. The reason may be that in the Sally Hansen version, Silicone is the 2nd ingredient so will help with product distribution. By the way, I apply these type of products with latex gloves.
I think there may be a few tempted to buy this one as it is now also on offer in Boots for £6.66. Want perfect legs for summer? Spend the extra £4 on the Sally Hansen version would be my advice. Have you tried this already? What did you think? Do you love the Sally Hansen one as much as me?
